Os meus professores e a escolha da docência/ My teachers and the choice of teaching

Bom dia pessoal, acabei de fazer minha prova de Realidade Escolar aqui na Universidade de Coimbra e junto a ela tive de entregar um trabalho dizendo sobre a escolha da docência. Acabei esse trabalho agora e resolvi postar aqui, já que não estou podendo atualizar meu blog devido a essa semana de provas.

Os meus professores e a escolha da docência

Segundo Aristóteles “Um bom começo é a metade”. É baseando-se nessa filosofia que posso afirmar ter uma boa visão da educação e uma boa base para o ensino. Embora o caminho da educação não seja mensurável, pois é erróneo apontarmos um meio e um fim já que para a educação sempre estamos crescendo. Nesse caso, um começo pode ser apontado e o meu foi ter nascido não somente filho de professora, mas, filho de uma grande educadora.

Nasci em 1989, quando minha mãe Adriana ainda lecionava em um colégio religioso, Colégio São José, fundado por Irmãs Dominicanas de Santa Catarina de Sena. Fui educado lá até meados de 2002, quando minha mãe resolveu dar aulas em outros lugares e, a partir de então, estive passando por várias escolas até completar o secundário.

Já no Colégio São José, tive bons professores de matemática, mas, embora tivesse o gosto pela matemática ainda não pensava em seguir por ela. Ainda me lembro das aulas do professor Maurílio nos ensinando área e perímetro utilizando a sala de aula como exemplo. A sua delicadeza com as palavras e paciência nos fazia perceber o conteúdo facilmente.

No secundário, tive aulas com brilhantes professores tanto na área da matemática quanto na de Biologia, pela qual também tive grande interesse. Entretanto, era na matemática que eu mais me destacava. No Colégio Portal de Limeira, onde concluí o ensino secundário, tive aulas com o professor Betão. Suas aulas serviram como excelente exemplo, nas quais posso me espelhar hoje para fazer as minhas.

Chegando o Vestibular tive que optar entre a Matemática e a Biologia, como sou um pouco indeciso, optei por prestar quatro Universidades sendo que duas para Matemática (Unesp e Ufscar) e duas para Biologia (Unicamp e Usp). Passei somente nas duas que havia prestado Matemática e resolvi escolher a Unesp. Porém, uma escolha já havia sido feita há muito tempo “Ser professor!”.

Dentro da Universidade pude confirmar que a Matemática era realmente tudo o que queria. Tive excelentes professores que me levaram a gostar cada vez mais da Matemática e a chegar onde estou. Um deles, a professora Miriam Penteado, me orienta desde o início de 2007. Com ela desenvolvi diversos trabalhos na área de Educação Matemática sendo incentivado a apresentá-los em vários congressos.

Hoje, quando penso na minha formação e na escolha da docência, penso na educação que tive desde o começo da minha vida. Vejo a “minha educação” como um quebra-cabeças que ainda há muito para ser montado, mas, as peças que já foram colocadas são contribuições de muitos dos professores que passaram pela minha vida. E, é por esse motivo que escolhi a docência, também quero colocar algumas peças em outros quebra-cabeças.

I was born in 1989, when my mother Adriana still teaching at a religious school, Colégio São José, founded by the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena. I was educated there until mid 2002 when my mother decided to teach elsewhere, and since then, I've been through several schools to complete high school.

In the Colégio São José, had good teachers of mathematics, but, though his taste for mathematics is not intending to pursue it. I still remember the lessons to Professor in the teaching area and perimeter using the classroom as an example. His sensitivity to the words and patience made us understand the content easily.

In high school, had classes with both brilliant teachers in mathematics and in biology, for which I also had great interest. However, it was in mathematics that I am most excelled. In the Colégio Portal de Limeira, where I completed secondary school, took lessons with the teacher Concrete. His classes have served as an excellent example, where I can do today to mirror mine.

Getting the Vestibular had to choose between Mathematics and Biology, as I am a little hesitant, I decided to give two of which four universities for mathematics (and Ufscar Unesp) and two for Biology (Unicamp and Usp). I spent only two who had served in Mathematics and decided to choose the Unesp. But a choice had been made long ago "Being a teacher."

Within the University could confirm that mathematics was really all I wanted. I had excellent teachers that led me to appreciate more and more mathematics and get where I am. One of them, Professor Miriam Penteado, guides me from the beginning of 2007. With her various development works in the area of mathematics education are encouraged to present them at various conferences.

Today, when I think about my choice of training and teaching, I think the education I've had since the beginning of my life. I see "my education" as a puzzle that there is still much to be mounted, but the parts that have been raised are contributed by many of the teachers who passed through my life. And that is why I chose teaching, I also want to put some pieces of other puzzles.
